SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP)

The SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) is a reskilling programme under the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Support Package, which helps locals in their 40s and 50s remain employable and access good jobs in relevant sectors.

Delivered through a Train-and-Place modality, SCTP provides career advisory and job search support to help trainees transition into suitable roles. Upon completing the course, trainees are strongly encouraged to take the important next step of pursuing employment in the relevant industry, where they can put their newly acquired skills into practice, build confidence through real work experience, strengthen their long-term career prospects, and contribute to the manpower needs of the sector. The training provider will report trainees’ post-graduation employment progress to the Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA).

In addition, Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above enrolling into a SCTP may apply for the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance which covers 50% of the learner’s average monthly income over the past 12 months, from a minimum of $300 and up to a maximum of $3,000 per month. Each individual is eligible to receive the allowance for up to 24 months over their lifetime.
