ACI programmes are targeted at the following:

  • Adult learners (self-sponsored individuals) above 21 years old who are no longer in the MOE system.
  • Company-sponsored leaners above 16 years old who are working in the F&B industry.
  • Working professionals in the F&B industry wanting to upgrade their skills and knowledge. 
  • Individuals making a career switch into the F&B industry.

All applications must be submitted online in our website ACI's website

Applicants of Full Qualification courses are required to attend and clear a Program Preview Session before being offered a place in the course. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified.

Course fee payment must be made before your place in the class can be confirmed.

Singaporeans/PR: Must have Singpass account and app on mobile.

Foreigners: Submit valid Work Permit FIN pass (front and back) or passport copy.

Education certificate required for:

ACI offers the following training for individuals:

  • SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) in Culinary Arts and Pastry & Baking.
  • Full Qualifications - WSQ Certificate to Diploma in Culinary Arts and Pastry & Baking.
  • Short Courses - Culinary Arts, Pastry & Baking, Beverages, Food & Beverage Service.

ACI also offer support to corporate clients under corporate capability development:

  • Training for Staff - Full Qualifications and F&B Service short courses.
  • Consulting and Applied R&D Services - Helping F&B enterprises enhance sectoral practices and transformation for business growth.
  • Internships & Job Placements – Assisting to place our graduates into the Food Services Sector

Short courses for individuals are held at the ACI campus, conveniently located at 11 Eunos Road 8, Lifelong Learning Institute, #03-01 (Lift Lobby A), Singapore 408601, just a two-minute walk from Paya Lebar MRT station.

Corporate-specific courses may be conducted at the client’s premises, subject to terms and conditions.

Full Qualification courses, for online and in person lessons, are conducted either at the ACI campus or at Nanyang Polytechnic in Ang Mo Kio, which is an eight-minute walk from Yio Chu Kang MRT station.

A class confirmation noticfication in your student account in Skills Training and Enhancement Portal (STEP) and an email will be sent to you once the minimum class size is reached. If you did not receive any confirmation 3 days before the class date, please contact us.

WSQ courses

SSG will issue electronic Statement of Attainment (SOA) to trainees who successfully completed a WSQ course and are assessed as competent. You can view and download your e-Cert in Home | Myskillsfuture.gov.sg. Login via SingPass. 

Non-WSQ courses

ACI will issue Certificate of Completion (COC) to trainees who successfully completed a non-WSQ course and assessed as competent. You can view and download your certificate in your student account at STEP portal. Login in via Singpass.

Course schedules for classes that are open for registration will be published in ACI's website in the respective course info page.

Our courses are also listed in STEP portal, where you can register your interest in courses that we do not yet have a planned class date.

Financial Matters

MCES is only applicable for self-sponsored Singaporeans aged 40 and above to enjoy up to 90% course fee subsidy for SSG-funded courses.

Terms and conditions apply.

There are no miscellaneous fees for short courses.

For Full Qualification and SCTP courses, there is a one-time Administration Fee of $50 (non-refundable). All trainees are required to purchase a starter kit which includes full set of uniforms (1 set for part time trainees, 2 sets for full time trainees), a pair of safety boots and a tool kit.

ACI does not mark up or profit from the cost of these items, trainees are to pay the vendors directly.

For short courses, payment must be made upon application for the class.

For Full Qualification courses, payment must be made upon offer of a place in the course. 

Launched in 2015, the SFC aims to encourage individual ownership of skills development and lifelong learning. All Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening SFC of $500 (“Opening SFC”). The opening credit will not expire and individuals can use their credit for a range of eligible courses listed on the MySkillsFuture portal.

On 1st May 2024, the Government provided Singaporeans aged 40 and above an additional $4,000 credit (“SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career)”). At the same time, the Government lifted the expiry date of the Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support), i.e., it will not expire when it reaches its maturity date on 31 December 2025. The remaining credit balance from the Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) has been merged with the top-up of $4,000 to form the new SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career).

SFC can be used at ACI for Payable Course Fee after SSG subsidy. Claims for SFC can be made upon course registration in ACI website. Login via your SingPass. 

Refund policy for withdrawal

  • Please note that a 100% refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted more than or equal to 14 days before the course starts date.
  • Please note that a 50% refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted less than 14 days before the course starts date.
  • Please note that no refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted on or after the course starts date.

Leave of Absence

Appeals for absenteeism with valid reason with documentary proof, must be submitted within 2 calendar days from the missed class date, after which paid course fee will be forfeited. Appeals are subject to ACI's management approval.  

Paid course fee for absenteeism WITHOUT valid reason will be forfeited.

The SSG subsidy is not applicable in cases of absence. Should a trainee fail to attend the first day of the course, participation in subsequent sessions will not be permitted. Claims utilizing SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) or the Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) will be rejected, and trainees shall be required to remit the full course fee personally. Furthermore, until payment has been received, access to additional course applications via the Skills Training & Enhancement Portal (STEP) will remain restricted.

Valid reasons (official supporting documents required) are:

  1. Medical Reasons (Learner only)
  2. NS Obligations
  3. Statutory Obligations
  4. Compassionate Leave (restricted to immediate family members)

Asian Culinary Institute (ACI) Singapore is a Continuing Education & Training (CET) institute of Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) for adult learners, jointly set up in April 2015 by SkillsFuture Singapore (previously known as Singapore Workforce Development Agency) and NYP.

ACI aims to:

  • Build a pipeline of local chefs for the F&B industry.
  • Strengthen continual professional development for existing F&B workers.
  • Be a catalyst for innovation in Singapore’s Food Services Industry.
  • Facilitate industry transformation and productivity enhancement through R&D.

Kindly hand found items to our front desk staff and provide as much information as possible such as where it was found and time it was discovered. This will enable us to keep proper safekeeping records and ensure it is claimed by the rightful owner.

To report a lost item, please provide us with the following information. Call 64173318 or email us at info@aci.edu.sg: -

  1. Your name and contact number. 
  2. Date, time and possible place where item was lost. 
  3. Description of item(s). 

We will contact you if your item is found. To claim the item(s), the owner needs to produce his/her identification document and show proof of ownership or answer a few questions for verification purpose. 

For hygiene reasons, we will dispose of the following items if found: -

  • Used apparels such as hats, gloves, shorts, pants etc. 
  • Used shoe bag and footwear. 
  • Disposable food and drink containers. 

Uncollected item(s) will be donated or disposed of based on the following time frames: -

  • Valuable items – after 3 months 
  • Non-valuable items – after 1 months 
  • Perishable items – after 24 hours
