This programme is designed for junior chefs who have a passion for pastry and bakery and wish to gain a deeper understanding of various Asian pastries and to enhance their baking skills by applying different techniques while using different Asian ingredients.

•  School leavers and new entrants into the Food & Beverage industry who possess have some basic pastry and baking skills
•  For working professionals in the Food & Beverage industry who wish to upgrade their skills and knowledge to obtain an industry recognised certification
•  Individuals who wish to change their career and enter the Food & Beverage industry



• Singapore Secondary 2 education and above, WPLN level 4 or equivalent
• Higher Certificate in WSQ Food Services (Pastry and Baking) 
• Applicants may be required to go through an interview

WSQ Advanced Certificate in Food Services (Pastry & Baking) will be based on a Work-study model.

  • 3 day study, 3 day internship per week at assigned Company for Approx 3 months.
  • Classes will be conducted at Asian Culinary Institute.

  • If the participant fails to meet at least 75% attendance per module and/or fails to sit for an assessment or for any other reason where funding is not approved. The ​company / trainee is required to reimburse ACI the funded portion of the course fees.
