SGUNITED SKILLS PROGRAMME (SGUS)

Upskill through SGUnited Skills Programme. The SGUnited Skills (SGUS) programme is a 6 months full-time training programme designed to help unemployed Singaporeans to upskill and reskill themselves. The training programmes are designed to help you acquire F&B industry-relevant skills to improve employability.

SGUnited Skills is intended for mid-career jobseekers impacted by the economic consequences of COVID-19. It comprises full-time reskilling training of 6 months. In view of the full-time training commitment, trainees receive a monthly training allowance to cover their basic expenses. The course fee is also highly subsidised, the nett fee payable is only $500 for a 6-month SGUS programme.

ACI offers two tracks for SGUS, you can select from either the SGUS ACI Culinary Arts Programme or SGUS ACI Pastry & Baking Programme. Please note that some of the modules will be conducted via E-learning thus trainees must own suitable learning devices such as laptops and tablets with camera and audio functions.

  • Applicants are required to go through a briefing session before course commencement date.
  • Trainees are required to purchase a starter kit which includes the uniforms and tools set.
  • SGUS is open to only to Singapore Citizens (SC) and Singapore Permanent Residents (PR) who meet the eligibility criteria.

  • Payment mode can be done by SkillsFuture Credit (For Singaporeans age 25 years old and above), Mid-Career Transition Credit for Singaporeans age 40 years to 60 years old, PAYNOW, AXS or NETS.

Entry Requirements

Who can apply?

  1. Minimum Secondary 2 level and above
  2. Singapore Citizens / PRs aged 21 and above and they MUST

    (a) did not graduate or is not scheduled to graduate between calendar years 2019 to 2022 (both years inclusive) from any ITE or tertiary education institution (this includes polytechnics and universities, whether local or foreign);
    (b) did not complete or is not scheduled to complete National Service between calendar years 2019 to 2022 (both years inclusive); and
    (c) did not undertake or is not currently undertaking a different course which was part of the SGUnited Skills Programme or the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme – Company Training. Individuals who are able to commit to the training programme on a full-time basis
