WSQ Follow Food & Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures

Course Overview

This programme is a SSG and NEA accredited programme.  Participants will learn the basic of food safety and hygiene knowledge required to be a certified food handlers.  The successful completion of this programme will certify participants to be competent to work in the F&B industry as required by NEA. 

The skills and knowledge taught include:

  • Practising Good Personal Hygiene
  • Using Safe Ingredients
  • Handling Food Safely
  • Storing Food Safely
  • Maintaining Cleanliness of Utensils, Equipment and Service/Storage Areas

Withdrawal notification received at least 14 calendar days before course commencement

  • 75% refund of paid course fees

Withdrawal notification received less than 14 calendar days from the course commencement OR Upon course commencement

Modes of learning (choice of one mode)

Blended Learning: 4 hours classroom learning (Inclusive of 1.5 hours of assessment) and 3.5 hours self-directed learning OR
Classroom Learning: 1 day, 9-5pm (Inclusive of 1.5 hours of assessment)

Registration will close 2-3 weeks before the course commencement date or when class is full.

  • If the participant fails to meet at least 75% attendance per module and/or fails to sit for an assessment or for any other reason where funding is not approved, company / trainee is required to reimburse ACI the funded portion of the course fees
