This is a structured training programme targeted for fresh diploma graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in the F&B sector as a culinary chef.   This programme provides a clearly defined career path for each participant with a participating employer.  All rounded training will be provided through on-the-job training, facilitated learning, a productivity project.as well as a possible 1-3 months overseas attachment. Trainees may join established F&B companies as a Management Trainee / Management Associate and can look forward to a fast-track career progression to positions such as Assistant Chef / Assistant R&D Chef at the end of the programme.

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Subsidy

  • Enjoy 90% SSG subsidy for all Singaporeans and PRs

  • Within 36 months after their graduation from the PSEI (graduation date as stated on the Diploma).
  • For male participants who need to serve National Service, the 36-month period will start from the Operationally Ready Date (“ORD”)
  • Graduates who are interested to pursue an accelerated career progression in the F&B sector.


This programme is eligible for fresh polytechnic graduates (within 36 months of graduation or Operational Ready Date for National Servicemen) from the following Diploma programmes: 

  • TP Diploma in Baking & Culinary Science
  • TP Diploma in Culinary & Catering Management
  • NYP Diploma in Food & Beverage Business 
  • RP Diploma in Restaurant & Culinary Operations


Also, fresh polytechnic graduates (within 36 months of graduation or Operational Ready Date for National Servicemen) from Diploma programmes below are eligible to join Earn and Learn Programme after completing the following bridging modules.

  • NYP Diploma in Food Science and Nutrition
  • TP Diploma in Applied Food Science and Nutrition
  • SP Diploma in Food Science & Technology

Bridging modules
1. Conduct Food and Beverage Hygiene Audit - 24 hours
2. Maintain Safe and Secure Working Environment - 16 hours
3. Prepare MiseEn Place (Culinary) - 16 hours
4. Demonstrate Basic Asian Preparation and Techniques - 30 hours
5. Prepare Meat, Poultry, Fish and Seafood - 30 hours

All applicants are required to go through an interview. 

Payment for company sponsored applications:

  • GIRO
  • Cheque : Payable to “Nanyang Polytechnic” with your name, NRIC and name of organisation written behind the cheque.

Training Duration: 15 months.

Note:

  • If the participant fails to meet at least 75% attendance per module and/or fails to sit for an assessment or for any other reason where funding is not approved, company / trainee is required to reimburse ACI the funded portion of the course fees
